I started building websites in 1997, when writing code meant opening Windows Notepad and building almost everything by hand. Since then I have followed many changes on the web, tried out tools and learned that technology evolves, but the goal remains the same: creating solutions that really work.
For a long time, platforms such as WordPress made it easier to create websites. They democratized content publishing and remain excellent for many projects. But over time, I began to miss something important: the freedom to build exactly what each business needs.
When a project depends on many plugins, constant updates and ready-made structures, simplicity can give way to complexity. The fastest way to put a site online is not always the best way to maintain it, evolve it and adapt it to the needs of the people who use it.
It was in this context that I started investing more in building sites with their own structures, custom code and admin panels created for each project. The idea is simple: deliver a tailor-made solution, without forcing the client to learn unnecessary tools or depend on the developer for every small change.
Client autonomy and independence
With a custom panel, the client can update news, products, images and other information on their own. Meanwhile, each feature is designed according to the purpose of the site, avoiding functions that make no sense for that business.
Artificial intelligence has expanded these possibilities even further. Today, I can explore solutions, speed up stages and develop features that would once have taken much more time. But AI does not replace experience or human decisions: it is a powerful tool in the hands of someone who knows what they want to build.
This does not mean WordPress no longer has its place. It is still a great choice for many projects. The point is not to turn one tool into a universal solution. Every project deserves the technology best suited to its goals, not just the one that seems most convenient at first.
After almost three decades following the evolution of the internet, I keep learning and experimenting. My purpose is to create sites that go beyond a pretty presentation: fast, functional, customized solutions that give clients more autonomy to take care of their own businesses.
